From being a signed author with a publishing deal to starting over.
Well, it was definitely fun while it lasted, but as of late last night, The Day I Died Again will no longer be published through Green Avenue Books & Publishing since they have decided to close their doors permanently. To say I wasn’t blindsided by the sudden news would be an understatement, as were the other authors signed with them. However, that being said, as much as I was disappointed to receive the news it has not discouraged me or my journey. I will be exploring other avenues, but for now, I am knee-deep into my next novel, a psychological thriller set in 1999. I’m having a ton of fun going back in time, researching everything 90’s and just enjoying all the nostalgia. That is where my focus will be for the next couple of weeks while I finish writing this book. Then I will regroup, and figure out my next steps for The Day I Died Again. This journey has been a big learning curve and an eye-opening experience. The good, the bumpy and the bad.
This is the publishing industry, things happen, companies go under, agents leave, book deals fall through, but one thing that will never change is my love of the written word and storytelling. I was born to do this and nothing, nor any stumbling blocks will ever stop me.
Onward, and upward is my motto. When you have been through a lifetime of hurt and disappointment, you get to the point in your healing journey where these kinds of setbacks no longer define you, but fuel you. Thanks for taking the time to read. I’ll be back with more updates soon Until then...
HERE”S TO THE FUTURE! SHOW ME UNIVERSE HOW GOOD IT CAN GET!!
